Evan Engram TE

Evan Engram seems to be a never ending saga of inconsistency, injury, and big drops.

Drafted because of an uncanny athleticism; he is essentially a receiver in a tight end body. A matchup nightmare for defenses because of his height and speed, Engram was a welcome sight for the NY Giants, but has not lived up to that hype.

Engram has been oft injured, has dropped too many clutch passes; most of which were routine. His name has been in the trade rumors for everyone from Aaron Rodgers to DeShaun Watson.  None came to fruition so the NY Giants know the talent is there.

The mental state of Engram’s game has plagued him, if he is not involved early or drops an early ball he seems to get distracted and lose focus.

The NY Giants’ coaches certainly believe in him, but he has been given several chances to prove he is the weapon he should be.  Like Slayton with Barkley back and the addition of Golladay, it may open up the field for him and allow Jason Garrett to use him as he should be used.
