Wil Hernandez OL

Hernandez showed in his rookie year he has the tools and the nastiness to excel as an NFL offensive lineman.

His toughness carried from practice to the field where he was the enforcer for the offense, not allowing any defensive player to take any cheap shots.

Hernandez, a former 2nd round pick from UTEP Hernandez started his first 32 games for the Giants. Injuries plagued him and might have been a reason for his drop in consistency. Hernandez was pushed last year by Shane Lemieux and the rookie outplayed him. Hernandez should take his place at left guard and start, but the Giants just signed former Cowboy Joe Looney and the possibility is there that Looney place center and Nick gates moves to guard.

I do not believe the Giants want Daniel Jones to have a third center in three years, but it should be a wake up call for Hernandez.  If the injury bug stays away from him, he should be comfortable with LT Andrew Thomas beside him and be poised for a big comeback year.
