NY Giants training camp: Saquon Barkley returns, John Ross injured, more
Another strong day from Daniel Jones
Daniel Jones seems to be heating up.
Monday, Jones was stellar during seven-on-seven and full-team drills, albeit during a practice that wasn’t in full pads.
But, Jones showed pinpoint accuracy on a couple of nice passes to Engram, Ross, and rookie Kadarius Toney made his first meaningful catch of this camp when he pulled down a hotly thrown ball down the sideline during a seven-on-seven drill.
The only two blemishes on Jones’ day were a dropped pass by Darius Slayton, who dove to catch a ball deep down the sideline from Jones and a pass intended for Toney in the end zone that was broken up by defensive back Logan Ryan.
It remains to be seen whether Jones will make the requisite leap the NY Giants need him to in 2021, but if he continues to stack strong practices together over the next month, there’s certainly reason to be optimistic …
