Cole Hikutini – TE

Someone needs to make the roster at tight end, especially following Kelvin Benjamin’s sudden departure and retirement, Levine Toilolo’s ruptured Achilles tendon, and several other tight ends getting nicked up in practice as Kyle Rudolph remains on the PUP list.

That someone just might wind up being Cole Hikutini.

A big-bodied target, Hikutini has developed a bit of a rapport with Daniel Jones, hauling in a beautifully thrown pass on a back-shoulder throw along the sideline Tuesday. Between a couple of catches from Jones and consistently being out there with the second-team offense — and at times the starters, don’t be surprised if Hikutini emerges from the tight end pack.
