Stock Down: The offensive line

The NY Giants must be at least slightly concerned with the current state of the offensive line.

The team lost two depth players last week in Jonotthan Harrison and newly-signed Joe Looney. Nate Solder is now dealing with injuries of his own. In fact, Ben Wilkerson stepped in as the second team guard at practice Wednesday. Yes, the Assistant Offensive Line Coach had to step in and take reps in a live NFL practice due to a lack of bodies.

The NY Giants should sign another lineman in the coming weeks or days. They will likely snoop around the current free-agent market again as well as the transaction wire as teams cut players and shape their final rosters. It’s been a busy training camp for everybody at 1925 Giants Drive. Expect more moves to be made with the big guys up front as the Giants look to fix their biggest weakness from last season.
