Stock Up: David Sills, WR

The competition at the tail-end of the NY Giants’ receiver room is one of the more fascinating position battles on the roster.

If David Sills keeps playing like this, he could very well land on the final roster. The former QB keeps impressing in camp as a favorite target of Daniel Jones. Now, he is translating his production in the preseason and linked up with Glennon and Clayton Thorson to make several plays.

Sills led the way for the Giants’ receivers in the first half to the tune of three catches for 49 yards. Sills showed he can be a viable downfield, deep threat and he has the intangibles and size that the Giants sorely miss at receiver.

With Kenny Golladay injured and John Ross and Kadarius Toney working back through injury as well, there is an opening for Sills on the team. Sills has been an offseason favorite two years in a row within the Giants’ organization. His stellar play will be rewarded if he keeps up performances like this.
