Stock Up: Tae Crowder, LB

The NY Giants could really use another difference-maker at linebacker alongside Blake Martinez. If the early returns keep up, Tae Crowder can fill that void.

Crowder was one of the two projected Week 1 starters who started on defense tonight. 2020’s Mr. Irrelevant has been out to prove NFL teams wrong ever since he was drafted. Crowder provided some spark and youthful energy on the defense last season. Expect that to carry over into this season with an improved defense.

Crowder was active all over the field Saturday. He was credited with two tackles but was always near the ball and was flying around in the first half. Tae Crowder is a nice complementary player for Pat Graham’s defense. Playing alongside a stud like Martinez should only make Crowder better as time goes on.
