NY Giants tight ends (4)

Evan Engram, Kyle Rudolph, Kaden Smith, Cole Hikutini

Outside looking in: Rysen John, Nakia Griffin-Stewart, Jake Hausmann

This is a make-or-break season for Engram, after the NY Giants picked up his fifth-year option last spring, a strong and legitimate Pro Bowl caliber performance could solidify his future in New York.

Meanwhile, Kyle Rudolph has yet to play a snap during training camp — or the preseason opener — still on the PUP list, following offseason surgery to repair an injured foot, that was discovered shortly after he signed with the NY Giants.

Cole Hikutini has taken some first-team reps, in Rudolph’s absence, and has quickly forged a strong chemistry with Daniel Jones, pulling down some big catches during practice. But, Hikutini’s chances of going from bubble-player to making the roster will depend on him being able to bounce back from a hip injury that knocked him out of Saturday’s game.
