Connection with Joe Judge

Before coming to the NY Giants, head coach Joe Judge spent eight years within the New England Patriots organization.

In his team in Foxborough, Judge held multiple different positions within the coaching staff, including the role of Special Teams Coordinator from 2015-18.

That overlaps with Crossen, who played his rookie year with the Patriots in 2018.

Crossen was able to play 113 special teams snaps for New England that season, amounting for 25% of the total plays in that phase of the game, despite being inactive for five weeks.

It’s likely Judge saw a need for another playmaker on special teams, and identified someone who has with. If Judge’s eye for talent is a good one, the Giants may have potentially found a gem.
