NY Giants’ James Bradberry climb’s NFL Top 100 rankings
NY Giants cornerback James Bradberry was one of the premier players at his position last season, and was recognized as such by fellow NFL players
The NY Giants seemed to have found a keeper in their #1 cornerback. James Bradberry was one of the best things to happen to the entire organization last year.
Bradberry responded to his freshly-signed contract with a career season in 2020.
Bradberry had career highs in passes defended and forced fumbles along with tying career-high totals with three interceptions. His gaudy play was good enough to earn himself Pro Bowl honors for the first time in his five NFL seasons.
The players voted and Bradberry landed at No. 74 on the NFL’s Top-100 players from 2020.
The Bills’ All-Pro cornerback, Tre’Davious White, recognizes greatness in Bradberry’s game.
“He just does everything the right way. He’s gonna hustle to the ball. He’s gonna tackle, he knows when to press, he knows when to play off, and he’s been consistent since he’s been in the league” White said.
"“He’s been under the radar for a while now.” – Chris Godwin"
Godwin is also a fan, as a member of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Godwin and Bradberry went head-on this year in the NY Giants’ Monday Night Football loss vs the Buccaneers. “He has good ball skills. I like his game, man… He’s a big corner, he’s physical” the Super Bowl wide receiver said on Bradberry.
Tre White again added, “You can tell that he studies his craft. He’s a guy that breaks on routes, he’s a guy that breaks up a ton of balls, he’s a guy that picks a lot of footballs too!” White also stressed that the transition he made to New York and the impact he made was next to none.
The NY Giants are pairing James with Adoree’ Jackson this season. Together, the duo is expected to be among the league’s top 1-2 punches at cornerback. Bradberry is a quiet leader on this NY Giants team.
Bradberry keeps his head down and puts in the work whole letting his play speak for him. Bradberry broke out in a big way in 2020. It was much-needed for the NY Giants’ defense and they will build off his play in the secondary this year.
