Ryan Anderson – Edge

Another former Alabama star Anderson has been a player I have been very vocal about being on this roster. His time here has been very strange.

Anderson missed two weeks with a back injury, he was released due a contract issue, and then re-signed. He is considered by many as a draft bust. Selected in the second-round by the Washington Football Team, the 27 year old has not truly lived up to his hype.

A great year in 2019 for Washington, they changed their defense to a 4-3 and Anderson struggled.  The switch back to 3-4 with the NY Giants is key to Anderson’s success.

At 6-foot-2, Anderson is a bit undersized, but is a great tackler and is not a liability in pass coverage.

Linebacker is a deep position for the NY Giants right now and the climb is uphill for him. He needs to stay healthy and perform when he gets the chance.

NY Giants defensive coordinator Patrick Graham’s defensive scheme is perfect for his style and he has been given a couple opportunities in the NFL. Anderson certainly has the skill to be an impactful player for the Giants, but the numbers of the game just might come up and bite him.
