How does NY Giants quarterback Daniel Jones stack up against the other signal callers in the NFC East, from Dak Prescott to Ryan Fitzpatrick?

The NFC East, one year removed from being among the laughingstocks in sports, houses some of the more intriguing quarterback situations in the NFL.

From Dak Prescott needing to prove he can stay healthy enough to maximize the Dallas Cowboys’ myriad of weapons, and Daniel Jones facing a make-or-break third NFL season with the NY Giants to the Philadelphia Eagles giving Jalen Hurts the opportunity to solidify his place as the franchise quarterback of the future, intrigue abound about the quarterbacks in this division.

But, who is the best quarterback in the NFC East? How does Daniel Jones stack up?

Here’s a look at the NFC East QB rankings entering the 2021 NFL season, and how NY Giants’ Daniel Jones stacks up:

4) Ryan Fitzpatrick – Washington Football Team

The Washington Football Team desperately needed stability at quarterback, leading a young and explosive collection of offensive skill-players, and they hope they’ve found it in Fitzpatrick.

As savvy a veteran as they come, at age 38, Fitzpatrick passed for 2,091 yards with 13 touchdowns to eight interceptions in a quarterback timeshare with Dolphins rookie Tua Tagovailoa last season.

Fitzpatrick now waltzes into an offense with All-Pro caliber wide receiver Terry McLaurin, speedster Curtis Samuel, and versatile second-year running back Antonio Gibson.

At this stage of his career, Fitzpatrick may be little more than a competent NFL starting quarterback, but that’s all the Football Team needs given the pieces around him on offense and what might be a top-five defense on the opposite side of the ball.
