NY Giants roster: 5 bubble players who helped their cause vs. Browns
NY Giants RB Devontae Booker
While there has been a legitimate competition this summer for the role as Saquon Barkley’s primary backup, Booker took a major step towards solidifying his roster spot and that vital role on Sunday.
Booker looked as explosive as he has at any point during training camp and the preseason, in the first quarter of Sunday’s game. On consecutive plays, Booker took a handoff from Mike Glennon six yards, before catching a pass out of the backfield, juking a Browns defender with a spin-move and picking up seven yards.
Finishing with six carries for 27 yards and a touchdown, and adding a pair of catches for 13 yards, Booker made an emphatic statement against Cleveland.
