It wasn’t long ago that the NY Giants’ secondary was a laughingstock and started fringe NFL players at the position, but that is clearly not the case this season.

Bradberry and Jackson give the NY Giants one of the better perimeter duos in the NFL.

Meanwhile, competition for the nickel job between Holmes and Williams, who has had a strong rookie training camp, continues to be among the more intense of the summer.

The NY Giants trading for Jackson and Crossen in consecutive days, including sending Isaac Yiadom to the Packers in exchange for Jackson, shows how little the organization thinks of its depth players at cornerback. Both new acquisitions have a strong chance to make the NY Giants roster, because of their prowess on special teams.
