Stock Down: Madre Harper, NY Giants Cornerback

Madre Harper did not do much to help his roster status on Sunday.

The Browns have some talented receivers from the top with Jarvis Landry and Odell Beckham Jr. (remember him?) to solid depth across the entire unit. Harper did not have great success picking battles with any Browns’ receiver.

Harper was targeted in the red zone numerous times. He did have one nice pass breakup in the end zone. The Browns did not back down and attacked Harper in numerous situations. Harper let up a touchdown on 4th down and also gave up some other timely catches to move the Cleveland offense.

Sunday’s game did not help Harper’s case for making the NY GIants roster. He is a fringe player after making the roster as an undrafted free agent in 2020.
