Stock Up: David Sills, NY Giants Wide Receiver

David Sills is making it harder and harder to keep off the final roster.

Sills flashed again in Week 2 with three catches for 31 yards. Sills capped off his day with a long-anticipated touchdown in the 4th quarter.

Sills combines impressive athleticism with intriguing size at 6’4. He has naturally transitioned from a one-time generational youth quarterback prospect to a capable NFL wide receiver. It’s no small task for anyone to make such a dire position change. Sills can look to Ryan Tannehill as the model example of this transition.

Sills is doing his best to crack down a final spot in the Giants’ crowded wideout room. It’s not easy without playing any special teams, but Sills may be the rare exception to that rule. He’s a Joe Judge-type player and having strong chemistry with his quarterback only helps.
