Trent Harris, 2nd Year with NY Giants

Harris is making a serious and well-deserving push to make the Giants’ roster.

Harris is a hard-working, blue-collar player heading into year three. He is a Patrick Graham guy, from their time in Miami before he brought him over to the Giants last year. Harris is well-respected by his Defensive Coordinator and now his Head coach has taken notice.

Harris will fight to the end to make this team. He will get reps to prove himself again this week in practice and then the game vs the Patriots.

Niko Lalos, 2nd Year with NY Giants

Lalos is a fan-favorite. He burst onto the scene last year after coming up abruptly from the practice squad and then coming up with turnovers in his first two NFL games.

Lalos has had a good camp with some extended looks due to other players’ injuries. Sometimes, the best ability is availability which Lalos has proved to be.

He has been quiet in the first two preseason games but he appears to be a good player in practice with the right attitude and mindset. He is fighting to make the team and his special teams work will help his chances.

Cam Brown, 2nd Year with NY Giants

Brown is another second-year player with a specialty in special teams.

Brown has uniquely lined up as one of the Giants’ primary gunners on the punt team most of training camp and preseason so far. Brown is a big, tall, and lanky linebacker at 6’5, 235 pounds. He is a hustler down the field who sprints and goes full-speed with maximum effort. Brown’s impressive play showed up twice this week with two successful reps at gunner with two tackles and one saving a potential touchdown or much deeper return.

Brown should make the NY Giants’ final roster. He is a good player with intriguing intangibles the coaching staff can develop. Brown is an ascending player for the Giants in 2021 and he could be a key under-the-radar contributor.
