NY Giants rookie No. 5: EDGE Elerson Smith

Smith was always a long-shot to start Week One for the Giants against the Denver Broncos at home on September 12th.

The fact that he has barely seen the field this summer, recently coming off the PUP list, certainly doesn’t bode well for his chances to hit the ground running in the FCS prospect’s first season.

NY Giants rookie No. 4: CB Aaron Robinson

UCF third-round selection Aaron Robinson came into the NY Giants organization with high hopes of contributing in year one, but injuries have kept him off the field for the entire summer.

That could make Robinson somewhat of a project in the early going of the season, if he even hits the field in a timely fashion at all.

NY Giants rookie No. 3: WR Kadarius Toney

It’s quite frankly somewhat damning Kadarius Toney is on this slide, as the aforementioned players are question marks heading into the 2021 season.

After the spectacular performance the former Florida Gator put on as one of Kyle Trask’s main weapons in Gainsville, the hope was that he could be the dark horse in the Big Blue WR room.

Unless he’s a quick study and Daniel Jones doesn’t establish much of a rapport with the other weapons in the receiving core, Toney is already behind the 8-ball.
