During the starting defense’s most extended run of the preseason, Martinez reminded why he’s one of the NY Giants’ most prolific and important defenders.

On the Patriots’ first possession, Martinez burst though the line of scrimmage, forcing Cam Newton to throw behind a receiver, and later pulled off an acrobatic interception deep down the middle.

There will undoubtedly be some difficult calls on this roster, including at linebacker, but Crowder has the potential to play meaningful snaps and Cam Brown is one of the NY Giants’ more dominant gunners on special teams, which could help them both across the finish line.
