Graham Gano was not his Consistent Self on Sunday

It’s not worth losing sleep over, but Graham Gano played in Week 3 of the preseason. Gano kicked in a game for the first time since January 3rd, 2021.

In his first action back in 2021, Gano completely shanked his lone field goal try. He missed wide and the ball hooked right almost immediately.

It’s worth noting the Giants traded Ryan Santoso this past week. Santoso is a younger, cheaper option who was just moved to the Panthers. The Giants got a free 7th round pick for a player who was going to be cut so it was a no-brainer.

Gano is not off to the best start after winning the kicking gig. Every kicker misses, so it’s not a real concern unless he follows up with another miss. The Giants offense is struggling enough already, they can’t afford to miss any more 3-point opportunities.
