The NY Giants continue to overhaul depth along the offensive line, trading for Ravens lineman Ben Redeson on Tuesday

The NY Giants are making moves all over the offensive line. That much has become certain.

The biggest concern on the roster, the offensive line has not done enough this summer to solidify these concerns. There have been numerous ins and outs within the group, there are newcomers while others have been cut or retired.

Tuesday, the NY Giants struck a trade with the Baltimore Ravens for their backup lineman in Ben Bredeson.

Bredeson is a 2020 4th round pick from Michigan. He played in 10 games last year but didn’t start any in his first NFL season.

Bredeson saw extended work in the Ravens’ jumbo and goal-line packages. He is primarily a guard where he should fit in well for New York. He saw 48 total snaps on offense with another 35 coming on special teams’ lineman duties.

Bredeson is a young player at 23. He was a 2019 1st-Team All-Big 10 player along with 2nd-Team All-Big 10 awards in 2017 and 2018. He was a 2nd-Team All-American in 2019 so he clearly has an ability to play. Coming from an NFL lineman factory from Michigan should only help with his development.

The NY Giants clearly know their line must be addressed to improve the unit. Their play was not good enough or inspiring in the preseason. The group must come together and form a cohesive unit once and for all. Bredeson hopes to work his way into the group. He could be a starter down the line and he should offer solid depth.

The NY Giants have made four trades in the last month. It’s been quite a busy offseason for the team’s front office. The Giants got some more much-needed help on the line with Bredeson while sending draft picks Baltimore’s way

. FanSided’s National NFL Reporter Matt Lombardo reports the Giants will send a 2022 4th round pick for a 2022 5th rounder and a 2022 7th round pick.
