CB – Rashaan Melvin

It might come as a surprise to see a cornerback on this list, especially given that the top of the secondary depth chart might be the strongest on the team and among the most gifted in the league.

However, the NY Giants are woefully thin when it comes to boundary cornerbacks behind James Bradberry and Adoree’ Jackson.

Given that Jackson’s availability for Week 1 is a bit uncertain following an ankle sprain suffered last week, and the likes of Darnay Holmes, Rodarius Williams and others are better suited to play slot cornerback than line up on the outside, Melvin could be an interesting add.

Melvin has the ideal length at 6-foot-2 and 194 pounds, and has plenty of experience playing outside. Prior to opting out of the 2020 campaign, the 31-year-old produced a 55.3 overall grade from Pro Football Focus as opposing receivers averaged 14.2 yards per reception against him.
