NY Giants WR – Collin Johnson

Johnson joins a crowded NY Giants wide receiver room.

However, Johnson has the frame to be a legitimate weapon in the red-zone if called upon.

Johnson was chosen by the Jaguars in the fifth-round of the 2020 NFL Draft, out of the University of Texas, and caught 18 of 31 targets as a rookie for 272 yards while averaging 5.1 yards per reception.

According to Pro Football Focus, Jaguars quarterbacks had a 98.1 passer rating when targeting Johnson last season as he amassed a 73.4 overall grade.

At minimum, it would seem the NY Giants see more upside from Johnson, than a player like David Sills, who was among the final roster cuts on Tuesday afternoon.
