The NY Giants roster is set, at least for now, ahead of Week 1 against the Denver Broncos … Here’s a look at how each position stacks up
Tuesday, the NY Giants’ and every other NFL team had to cut their rosters from 80 to a 53-men roster, as always there were some tough decisions as well as some interesting ones made by the front office.
Some players that were initially released wound up on the practice squad.
Here is a ranking of the initial NY Giants roster from worst to best after the final cuts:
9. NY Giants Offensive Line
The offensive line includes Nick Gates, Will Hernandez, Shane Lemieux, Matt Peart, Andrew Thomas, Nate Solder, Billy Price, and Ben Bredeson.
Pro Football Focus graded the Giants offensive line as the worst in the NFL, and if the preseason is any indication they might be right.
New added some new faces to the starting line and depth to the practice squad but it’s still a big question mark. The veterans need to help out the younger guys to be successful and to protect their quarterback.
