NY Giants bold prediction #2: Darius Slayton once again leads in receiving yards

Even with the sizable additions of Kenny Golladay and Toney into the WR room, Darius Slayton could wind up being Daniel Jones’ favorite WR target.

Slayton was second overall in targets to Evan Engram a season ago and was targeted 96 times overall. He caught just 50 of those balls, but with the presence of a guy like Golladay attracting attention, and with Sterling Shephard continuing to accumulate injuries throughout his five-year career, Slayton could be primed for more big-gain receptions in 2021.

Enough to once again top the team in receiving yards.

NY Giants bold prediction #3: Kadarius Toney finishes fourth in catches

Toney has already had a strange offseason where fans of Big Blue have been left to wonder what exactly his status was on several occasions.

His rookie year might not see as much success as future years. He definitely fills a need, but for him to excel, it would take Daniel Jones having a severe step forward…enough to have even Toney breaking out in his first season in the tri-state area.

Eh. Don’t put your money on that.
