NY Giants bold prediction No. 2: Broncos Melvin Gordon rushes for 125 yds

Melvin Gordon surpassed 100 rushing yards only twice last season; rushing for 131 against the Kansas City Chiefs, and 107 against the Jets earlier in the season.

Meanwhile, the NY Giants finished last season with the No. 10 ranked rushing defense in the league, allowing 111.37 yards per game.

New York losing Dalvin Tomlinson up front could leave a mark on this group’s ability to stop the run. Likewise, even with Tomlinson, the NY Giants allowed more than 135 rushing yards five times last season.

The combination of Denver’s offensive line being made up of maulers up front, and the NY Giants’ at times leaky run-defense down the stretch last season (allowing 249 rushing yards to the Ravens and 105 to the Cowboys in Week 17) could make this an ideal matchup for Gordon to surpass 125 yards on the ground.
