The Giants aim to move past Sunday’s loss to the Denver Broncos, and turn their season around in the NFC East opener, Week 2 at the Washington Football Team on Thursday Night Football

The Giants, led by quarterback Daniel Jones, running back Saquon Barkley, and wide receiver Kenny Golladay, take on the Washington Football Team, led by quarterback Taylor Heinicke, wide receiver Terry McLaurin, and defensive end Chase Young in Week 2 of the 2021 NFL Season on Thursday Night, Sept. 16, 2021 (9/16/2021) in an 8:20 p.m. kickoff at FedExField in Landover, Md. on NFL Network.

Sunday, the NY Giants’ offense managed just seven points through the first 59 minutes, prior to falling to the Denver Broncos 27-13, while managing only 60 rushing yards as a second half Jones fumble proved costly.

Meanwhile, Washington Football Team QB Ryan Fitzpatrick was knocked from a 20-16 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers.

Giants vs. Washington Football Team Week 2 prediction

Given the NY Giants’ offensive struggles, and that Chase Young has the potential to wreak havoc as Von Miller (two sacks in Week 1) did against Daniel Jones, it might be a tough ask for New York to go on the road and pick up a win. However, don’t expect a high-scoring affair as Henicke is forced into action, replacing Fitzpatrick.

Prediction: 20-17, Washington Football Team
