Linebackers vs Logan Thomas and Antonio Gibson

Noah Fant went off for six receptions and 62 yards against the NY Giants on Sunday afternoon, it seemed he was open on every play.

The Broncos played a lot of two tight end sets and Albert Okwuegbunam had three receptions for 13 yards with a touchdown. The touchdown was on a fourth down and highlighted by a Blake Martinez rare missed tackle.

New York’s defense ultimately allowed 5.9 yards a carry, but taking out Melvin Gordon’s 70-yard scamper it averaged to 3.5.

If Thursday’s plan revolves around limiting big plays, then the NY Giants have to take away the safety valve of tight end Logan Thomas. Patrick Graham’s defense must force Heinicke into bad spots where he is forced to make a bad throw.

There cannot be missed tackles on Gibson, he had 90 yards against the Chargers, but fumbled at a key moment.  Stop the run and make Taylor Heinicke beat you. Take away a third down safety valve in Thomas and get off the field.
