NY Giants’ Saquon Barkley reintroduces himself to the world
NY Giants star running back Saquon Barkley broke loose for a 35-yard run against the Washington Football Team, looking as explosive as ever in his second game back from injury
In case anyone forgot how explosive Saquon Barkley can be, the NY Giants’ star running back offered up a solid reminder Thursday night.
Barkley, playing his second game since suffering a torn ACL 51 weeks ago, broke off his biggest run of the season in the first quarter against the Washington Football team at FedExField.
With the NY Giants facing a 2nd-and-10 from the Giants’ 24-yard line, Barkley broke loose off tackle for a 35-yard gain, sprinting down the sideline.

Barkley picked up more yards on that one run than he did all game against the Denver Broncos in the regular season opener last Sunday.
It seemed as though Barkley ran a bit tentatively against the Broncos, his first game action of any kind since suffering his injury last September. That trepidation was gone, just five days later, against a team and in a venue where he’s had some of the biggest games of his career.
In three games against Washington, Saquon Barkley has averaged 132.3 rushing yards per game and rushed for a pair of touchdowns.
Through the first quarter of Thursday night’s game, Barkley had already rushed for 46 yards on four carries.
