Good, Bad, and Ugly from NY Giants loss to Washington Football Team

The Ugly

Nick Gates injured himself quickly in the game with a lower leg fracture.

The Giants defense gave up a touchdown right before halftime. In the first half, Giants had three pressures on 19 Taylor Heinickie drop backs, per NextGen Stats.

Washington had seven pressures on 14 Jones drop backs, per NextGen Stats. In the second half, Slayton was wide open in the end zone for a touchdown, but couldn’t grab onto the ball. Adoree’ Jackson got burnt by Ricky Seals-Jones for a touchdown late in the fourth quarter.

Dexter Lawrence jumped offsides on a field goal, which ended up giving Dustin Hopkins another shot at a field goal, which led them to win.
