NY Giants need to feature 2021 first-round draft pick Kadarius Toney in their offense

The 22-year-old wideout from the University of Florida entered the Giants camp with high praise and an outlook that boasted a great upside and versatility, highlighted by his speed and catching ability.

However, two weeks into the season, he seems to have fallen flat on his face – and like many on the offensive side of the football, it’s unclear which Big Blue members are to blame.

After a Week 2 performance which saw Daniel Jones throw for almost 250 yards and no turnovers, it’s hard to pin the blame on one of the only Giants who left FedEx Field unscathed. If anything, the young Giants QB was one of the few bright spots from that night.

That leaves the coaching staff in the line of fire – with the blame left squarely at the feet of second-year Offensive Coordinator, Jason Garrett.

With Toney’s skill set and versatility, it seems the coaching staff is not designing plays that feature and feed on the young receivers’ strengths.

Granted, that may be too soon to state just two weeks into the season. But between the two, only Garrett has given fans reason to doubt the play-calling. From Kadarius Toney, we simply just have too little of a sample size to evaluate his lack of production.

And that alone is reason enough to direct your side-eyes to Jason Garrett.
