Number 3:  The offensive line

Seems odd doesn’t it?

For the first time in what seems like forever, the entire NY Giants offensive line did not give up a single sack this game.

With new addition Matt Skura looking like he could take over the starting job at left guard, Nate Solder looking good for the first time all year, alongside Price and Hernandez having their best games of the season, I believe the whole offensive line deserves praise.

I’m sure you noticed I didn’t mention Andrew Thomas. There’s a reason for that.

Andrew Thomas has been playing at an elite level all year and this game was no different.

Thomas absolutely shut down the left side of the defensive line all game and continued to showcase his potential as a franchise left tackle. PFF gave Andrew Thomas an 88.9 pass blocking grade, and in this game Thomas didn’t give up a single pressure.

While at times the line struggled in the run block department they rose to the occasion when the team needed them to. Including on the 2 point conversion where Daniel Jones ran it in in the 4th quarter, the offensive line absolutely obliterated the defense. Allowing for a wide open hole for Jones to run through untouched.

Solder and Hernandez also had their share of clutch moments. Coming in the form of the Saquon Barkley game winning TD. On this play they both held their matchups still which led to a huge hole for Barkley to run through and seal the game.

All in all this was probably the best game from the offensive line we’ve seen in years. They all held their own at a rate that I don’t think anyone expected and were a key part of this weeks victory.
