The NY Giants will likely be without several key players against the Los Angeles Rams in Week 6, including wide receiver Kenny Golladay

The NY Giants will be without top wide receiver Kenny Golladay for Sunday’s game against the Los Angeles Rams, and perhaps several other key offensive players.

According to a report from the NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, Golladay’s injury isn’t considered severe, and he could return in a matter of weeks, rather than months.

Meanwhile, quarterback Daniel Jones is in the concussion protocol, after taking a nasty hit while diving for the end zone in the second quarter of Sunday’s 44-20 loss to the Dallas Cowboys.

"“He’s got a series of steps by league mandate he has to go through,” Judge said of Jones, on a conference call with reporters Monday. “So we’ll wait patiently and get the other guys ready as we wait on him. Hopefully, he’s out there to play. We won’t have a definite answer on that until much later in the week.”"

If Jones is unable to go against the Rams on Sunday afternoon, quarterback Mike Glennon would make his first start of the season, after coming on in relief of the NY Giants’ starter in Week 5.

Star running back Saquon Barkley faces uncertainty this week, as well, after being carted off the field due to an ankle injury suffered on the NY Giants’ first offensive possession of Sunday’s game.

"“In terms of the X-rays that came back, (it was) better news than it could’ve been for us,” Judge explained. “So it was a little bit of a sigh of relief with a couple of things just knowing the player and what he’s battled through.”"

Despite sounding optimistic, Judge refused to commit to a timetable for Barkley to get back on the field.

"“In terms of what I’ve heard from the doctors,” Judge said. “I know he had to get another checkup today to kind of take a look at it. This is going to be something I would say I wouldn’t expect him to be full speed on Wednesday, but we’ll see how he kind of loosens up and starts moving.”"

In addition to Golladay being out against the Rams, rookie Kadarius Toney will undergo further tests to evaluate this status and availability for Sunday’s game, after suffering an ankle injury against the Cowboys.

The news on rookie cornerback Rodarius Williams wasn’t nearly as encouraging.

Monday evening, the NY Giants announced that Williams suffered a torn ACL, and is out for the season.
