NY Giants’ Kadarius Toney inures right ankle after making ridiculous catch
NY Giants wide receiver Kadarius Toney seemed to suffer a right ankle/leg injury on New York’s first possession Sunday against the Los Angeles Rams
EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ — The NY Giants entered Sunday’s game besieged by injuries to key contributors on offense, and will be without Kadarius Toney for the remainder of Sunday’s contest against the Los Angeles Rams.
Toney made a ridiculous cut move along the sideline, jetting upfield for a 17-yard gain on the NY Giants’ first possession, before limping off to the sideline. It appeared that trainers were working on Toney’s right leg or ankle.
One of the most electrifying players on the Giants‘ offense was primed to take on an expanded role against the Rams, especially with wide receivers Kenny Golladay, Darius Slayton, and running back Saquon Barkley out.
With Toney out, look for the NY Giants to lean on wide receivers John Ross and Collin Johnson.
Toney departs Sunday’s game with three receptions for 36 yards.
On the NY Giants’ opening possession, Nate Solder also suffered an injury. The NY Giants announced that Solder is questionable to return, due to a finger injury.
The NY Giants converted their first possession into a Graham Gano field goal, to jump out to a 3-0 lead against the Rams at MetLife Stadium.
