Through six weeks, the NY Giants appear destined for another lost season, but just how many winnable games remain?

The NY Giants have seen a wealth of struggles so far in the young 2021 season.

Giants fans and players alike are frustrated beyond belief, and wonder when the product on the field will improve.

New York has now been blown out in back-to-back games, and cannot dodge the injury bug that has plagued them in recent memory.

Thoughts have been floating around as to the NY Giants having a top-ten or top-five selection in the next NFL Draft, with the future being a concern rather than the now.

But the now is here, and the NY Giants have games to play on their schedule, so how many of these games are winnable considering the current situation in New York?

While anyone can beat anyone on any given Sunday, including the Giants, some games are more likely to be victories than others.

The NFC East has seen its usual struggles, but the Cowboys sit at 5-1 as clear favorites to win the division.

However, the Eagles and Washington Football Team are both 2-4, only one win above the NY Giants, so those games hang in the balance.

Some games outside of the division could be terrifying the NY Giants, and they all deserve a deeper dive.

Week 7: vs Carolina Panthers

After a strong 3-0 start, the Panthers have now fallen from grace and sit at 3-3.

Carolina’s offense sits near the middle of the pack led by quarterback Sam Darnold who has been inconsistent so far.

The Panthers were able to capitalize on weaker matchups earlier in the year but then lost to squads like Philadelphia and Minnesota.

Defensively though this team has a ton of talent and plays very well, in the first half.

Against Dallas, they gave up a 20 point third quarter after playing solid throughout the first two quarters of play. This can be attributed to turnovers, but the whole team just began to fall apart in that second half.

This Panthers team has an elite pass defense, giving up the second least amount of passing yards per game. Dak Prescott was still able to throw four touchdowns against this unit, so the Giants could catch them on another bad day in this three-game skid.

As for run defense, the Panthers struggle and find themselves around the lower part of the pack statistically.

With a healthy Saquon Barkley, the NY Giants could have the opportunity to run all over the Panthers, but injuries could stymie this effort.

Devontae Booker will have to be relied upon to expose the struggles of the Panthers in the run game.

Offensively, the Giants must create turnovers against Sam Darnold, and finish the job once they get good field position off turnovers.

This game is winnable considering the issues Carolina has been going through and the home-field advantage but should remain close.
