NY Giants schedule: How many winnable games remain in 2021?
By John Makuch
Week 12: vs Philadelphia Eagles
The NFC East has returned to its losing ways with the outlier of the Dallas Cowboys, and the Eagles have not impressed at all this season.
Their record stands at 2-4 with one of those wins being an ugly win against the Carolina Panthers.
They have dealt with similar issues as the Giants, so this matchup could be another ugly matchup as most divisional games are.
Neither team has statistics that really stick out, so it will come down to who shows up on this given Sunday.
The health of Saquon Barkley will play a factor in this matchup, as the Giants will have a difference-maker and game-breaker to have the help of.
Barkley is the type of player that can single-handedly win you games, so having him back and back at his full potential is crucial.
The Giants need to find a way to shut down the legs of Jalen Hurts, their defense is porous enough on the ground, and playing a mobile quarterback makes it even harder.
Unless if the Cowboys fall off a cliff, this game will not have much divisional impact, but anything is possible in the NFC East.
A win here could be the difference between winning and losing the division, but the Giants would need to flip a switch and have won most of the previous games mentioned to even be in that position.
This game will effect draft position and pride if anything, but the Giants should come out and play a tight one with their dreaded rivals.
This game is winnable for either squad in what should be a slugfest, and classic Giants and Eagles rivalry hatred.
