NY Giants schedule: How many winnable games remain in 2021?
By John Makuch
Week 14: at Los Angeles Chargers
Up until the Ravens game, the Chargers looked like a shoo-in for the AFC Championship game. But they still have more work to do to get better and take down the top teams in the league.
They currently lead the AFC West and already have beaten the Kansas City Chiefs and the Las Vegas Raiders. Their winning ways have been led by an offense with an emerging sophomore Justin Herbert and Mike Williams finally hitting his stride.
Rookie Rashawn Slater has also looked great for the offensive line, and this team looks for real with pieces around Herbert.
Defensively they are not great yet, but they are improving and do enough to get the job done, but they have been exposed a few times.
The Giants do not have the health nor the talent to be the team that exposes the Chargers’ defense. Even if they do, this LA offense is star-studded and can hang with anybody in the NFL.
The NY Giants also have to head out on the road to Sofi Stadium to finish off a two-game road trip.
This game is eight weeks away, so these storylines could all change, either team can make a surge or fall off by this point. The Chargers though are better suited to be a team that stays strong and continues their winning ways while the Giants will stay near the bottom.
This game is not winnable for the GMEN and would be considered a major upset if they were to come out victorious in this matchup.
