DT R.J. McIntosh (5.2, 2018)

Once you get to the fifth-round and on, it’s particularly hard to find quality talent, so missing on a pick is totally forgivable this late in the draft.

The reason I included McIntosh is for two reasons. One being that there were a handful of players picked shortly after him that have carved out nice careers since, and the other being that all the picks Gettleman made leading up to this point haven’t worked out either, so if there was any saving grace for this draft, it would be him hitting a couple late gems.

McIntosh went on to play just 18 games off the bench for the Giants across two seasons, racking up two sacks and two tackles for loss. Nowadays, he’s on the Packers’ practice squad.

Six picks later, Bilal Nichols (5.8) was picked by the Chicago Bears and has served as mostly a consistent starter on the defensive line since his rookie year.

Other potential picks: DT Maurice Hurst Jr. (5.3), ILB Ja’Whaun Bentley (5.6), G Wyatt Teller (5.29)
