Jalen Wydermyer – TE, Texas A&M

Whether the NY Giants move Evan Engram ahead of the Nov. 2 NFL trade deadline, or simply let the former first-round pick walk via free agency this offseason, tight end is going to be a top priority.

Wydermyer has emerged as a focal point of the Aggies’ offense, catching 25 passes for 353 yards and four touchdowns, while averaging 14.1 yards per reception. He’s currently Texas A&M’s leading receiver, and just the kind of talent the NY Giants would want to augment Daniel Jones’ supporting cast.

Last season, in addition to being a reliable pass-catcher, Wydermeyer began to prove that he’s also an elusive playmaker after the catch, forcing eight broken tackles.

If Engram is playing elsewhere next season, Wydermeyer could prove an intriguing and high-upside replacement.
