With a 2-5 start to the season, some NY Giants fans are calling for GM Dave Gettleman to make some trades to either bolster the roster, or tear it down.
Given the state of this season, Gettleman’s aim should be to make trades with the Giants‘ long-term view in mind. This means trading some expiring contracts, or even some of the heavier contracts.
Here are 3 dream trades for the NY Giants to pull off before the November 2nd deadline:
Evan Engram to the Buffalo Bills:
In the midst of another disappointing season, it almost seems as if it is set in stone that Evan Engram will finally be traded.
Engram only has 20 receptions for 171 and 0 TD’s through five games, and hasn’t had a 100+ receiving yard game since November of 2020.
It’s easy to say Engram has not worked out for the NY Giants.
Engram’s rookie contract expires after this season and it would make sense for the NY Giants to look to move on from him.
The best fit for Evan Engram very well might be a trade to the Buffalo Bills.
The Bills are in need of a TE with Dawson Knox being ruled out for 3 weeks with a hand injury.
There’s a chance the NY Giants could receive a pick anywhere in the range of 4-7. Engram still has the potential to be a solid pass catcher for another team.
