Sterling Shepard, injured against the Kansas City Chiefs, will seemingly be unavailable for the NY Giants’ game Sunday at MetLife Stadium against the Las Vegas Raiders
The NY Giants will likely be without wide receiver Sterling Shepard for at least Sunday’s game against the Las Vegas Raiders, sources confirm to FanSided.
Shepard was injured during Monday night’s 20-17 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs, and sources indicate that the short-week leading up to Sunday’s contest simply won’t be enough time to get him back on the field.
Prior to getting injured, Shepard struggled against Kansas City, catching just four passes for 25 yards, including appearing to cut his route off short of the marker on a pivotal third down in the red-zone in the first half.
Earlier this season, Shepard missed three games due to a hamstring injury. Shepard has 32 receptions for 324 yards and one touchdown.
The NY Giants hope that get Kenny Golladay, sidelined since Week 5 due to a knee injury, back for Sunday’s game.
Presuming Shepard is unable to play, and Golladay returns, it would appear the NY Giants would have Golladay, Darius Slayton, and Kadarius Toney as the top-three wide receivers against Las Vegas.
