Daniel Jones found Evan Engram for a highlight-reel worthy touchdown to open Sunday’s NY Giants game against the Las Vegas Raiders

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. — Evan Engram hauled in one of the more impressive touchdown receptions of the NY Giants’ season, on New York’s opening possession against the Las Vegas Raiders Sunday at MetLife Stadium.

Engram, isolated in one-on-one coverage against Raiders defensive back Johnathan Abram, beat Abram by a step and made a leaping reception over Abram for a 30-yard touchdown catch to give the NY Giants an early 7-0 lead.

Jones’ eighth touchdown pass of the season capped a seven-play, 75-yard drive to begin the game.

Engram had become a forgotten-man, of sorts, in the NY Giants’ passing game but suddenly over the past two games has caught a pair of touchdowns, his only two touchdown catches of the season.

Through his first seven games of the 2021 NFL season, Engram has caught 24 of 34 targets for 216 yards and a pair of touchdowns, one year removed from a Pro Bowl season.
