Devontae Booker’s signature performance

Making his fourth consecutive start, in relief of Saquon Barkley, Devontae Booker looked every bit the part of a feature back against the Raiders.

Throughout the game, Booker showed burst and explosiveness, breaking off runs of 19 and 20 yards in the first half, finishing with a 4.71 yards per carry average.

Booker rushed 21 times for 99 yards against the Raiders.

Sunday, Booker briefly surpassed 100 rushing yards, before losing ground on a fourth quarter run, and eventually getting checked out by trainers on the sideline.

There’s a chance Barkley returns from an ankle sprain against the Buccaneers in two weeks, following the NY Giants’ bye week, but Booker has carved out a niche for himself in what could become a bit of a backfield timeshare.
