Xavier McKinney, Logan Ryan have lofty ceiling

For as many questions and as much concern is abound about the NY Giants’ front-seven, its impact, or lack thereof, New York’s secondary seemingly has a very bright future.

Twice in nine games, McKinney has logged two interceptions, and just might take home NFC Defensive Player of The Week honors for his game-altering performance against the Raiders. But, he wasn’t the only NY Giants’ defensive back to show out on Sunday.

Logan Ryan made a touchdown-saving tackle in the first half, and had a couple of other big hits over the middle of the field.

McKinney is a bourgeoning star, with four interceptions who is holding opposing quarterbacks to a 70 passer rating, and Ryan is one of the most respected leadership voices on this roster.

The duo of Ryan and McKinney are quickly developing into a formidable safety pair and living up to the organization’s expectations for the future of the position.
