NY Giants WR John Ross

When healthy, John Ross has shown that his speed can make a legitimate impact on the NY Giants’ offense, by creating a deep-threat in the vertical passing game.

However, Ross barely saw the field on Sunday.

Against the Raiders, Ross only appeared in five offensive snaps, one week after playing 27 percent of the snaps against the Kansas City Chiefs, and 51 percent of snaps the week prior against the Carolina Panthers. The NY Giants were also without Sterling Shepard on Sunday afternoon.

Despite a limited role, Ross has caught eight of his 18 targets for 189 yards and a touchdown.

Especially if Shepard continues to be limited, and Darius Slayton’s production diminished, Ross should be able to carve out a role in this offense, especially because of his ability as a home run hitter.
