The door has been cracked open for Roche to become a mainstay as part of the NY Giants’ pass-rush rotation, after Oshane Ximines was benched against the Raiders, and Roche kicked the door down with a strong performance.

Roche was disruptive against the Raiders, finishing with a sack and four total tackles, continuing his strong emergence since landing in New York this summer.

There is an opportunity, given Ximines’ disappointing season, and Lorenzo Carter’s injury-riddled one for Roche to stay at or near the top of the NY Giants edge rusher depth chart.

Tampa’s offensive line has already allowed 12 sacks this season, which could present an opportunity for Roche to have another strong game, after already producing six quarterback pressures en route to a 62.5 pass-rush grade from Pro Football Focus.
