NY Giants QB Daniel Jones

There have been a lot of things to like about Daniel Jones’ first nine games of this season.

Jones is averaging more passing touchdowns per game than any point since his rookie season, fewer interceptions, and has shown an uncanny ability to stand in the pocket and withstand a barrage of pressure to effectively move the NY Giants’ offense down the field.

However, Jones is just 1-7 in prime time games, New York’s red zone offense is worst in the league, scoring touchdowns on just 44 percent of trips inside the 20-yard line, and Jones hasn’t been able to close tight games against the likes of the Kansas City Chiefs, or Atlanta Falcons, earlier this season.

To Jones’ credit, he has played exactly one game with Saquon Barkley, Kenny Golladay, Sterling Shepard, Toney, and Even Engram all on the field. Monday night might be his second opportunity to.

Beating the Buccaneers, on the road, would certainly classify as a signature win for Jones and serve as further affirmation that he is the NY Giants’ future at the most important position in sports.
