Week 12 NY Giants vs. Philadelphia Eagles

Following a likely loss down in Florida, the Giants head back home on a short week.

Fortunately for the NY Giants, they haven’t lost a game there since Week 6 against the Rams. On the flip side, the Eagles are a whopping 4-2 on the road with wins over Atlanta, Carolina, Detroit, and Denver.

Divisional matchups are always hard to predict in the NFC East, and this one is no different. The Eagles will be coming off a home bout with the Saints, and I think that game will give the Giants a good idea on how to game plan for Nick Sirianni’s offense.

Ironically enough, the Eagles run game has been on fire since the injury of Miles Sanders and the promotion of Jordan Howard to the active roster.  Because the Saints own the best run defense in the NFL, I don’t see the Eagles continuing to pound the rock as they have been. Couple that with the fact that the Giants defense has allowed just 93 yards per game on the ground the last three games, and you’ll find yourself with an Eagles offensive attack that’s bound to regress over their next two games.

Jones was 21-for-28 with 244 yards passing and 64 yards rushing with a TD in his last game against the Eagles in a win. If not for a dropped Evan Engram pass in week 7 of last year, Jones would’ve led a clean sweep of the division rival in 2020.

I expect the Giants to come out on top, bottling up the Eagles’ backs and forcing Jalen Hurts into mistakes, while Jones and a healthy offense work efficiently throughout the contest.

Prediction: Giants 27, Eagles 19
