Predicting the Giants’ second half of the season
Week 13 NY Giants @ Miami Dolphins
At first glance, this is a game that appears very winnable for the NY Giants, albeit on the road.
The Dolphins have largely struggled through their first 10 games, owning a 3-7 record.
Over the last couple of games, they’ve seemingly turned a corner, edging out the Texans 17-9 before stunning the Ravens on Thursday Night Football, 22-10, forcing six turnovers in the process. With games against the Jets and Panthers upcoming, they have a chance to keep it rolling.
On the contrary, the Dolphins are still a very flawed football team. In those two wins, they’ve mustered an underwhelming 107 yards on the ground. Overall, they’ve totaled just 612 yards of offense across those two games for 33 total points of offense thanks to three touchdowns and four field goals.
The Giants defense has found its footing in the last few games with the emergence of rookie Quincy Roche on the edge opposite fellow rookie Azeez Ojulari. Additionally, Leonard Williams has settled into a groove on the interior, all of which should bode well against a porous offensive line for the Dolphins.
The NY Giants have the pieces to take advantage of the mismatch in the trenches on defense and that Daniel Jones continues to protect the rock and move the chains in a low scoring victory.
Prediction: Giants 19, Dolphins 13
