NY Giants vs. Buccaneers: 3 bold predictions, score pick for Monday Night Football
Bold prediction No. 2: Chris Godwin surpasses 150 receiving yards, with one touchdown
Godwin continues to be Tom Brady’s favorite target, but has yet this season to surpass 100 receiving yards.
That could change on Monday night against the NY Giants.
New York enters Monday night’s game, allowing an average of 250 passing yards per game. If the pass-rush struggles to knock Brady off his spot, and he has the opportunity to zero in on a game-altering receiver such as Godwin, a season-high performance could be in the cards.
The NY Giants’ secondary has played well over the past three weeks, but was torched by Matthew Stafford and the Los Angeles Rams, and Brady is the most accomplished quarterback New York will have played since that blowout loss.
Godwin has 90 career receiving yards in three career games against the Giants. He could be on pace to come close to doubling that on Monday.
